Perfidy


perfidy \ˈpər-fə-dē\ noun: 1. the quality or state of being faithless or disloyal; treachery, 
2. an act or an instance of disloyalty

Etymology: Latin perfidia, from perfidus faithless, from per- detrimental to + fides faith
